The story before
the storefront

Navy veteran. Professional boxer. CEO of Bonita Payments. Author. One discipline, built in the ring — applied everywhere it matters.

The through-line

Discipline is the only inheritance.

"I didn't get here by accident."

I've been a sailor, a fighter, and a founder, and none of them were the safe choice. What carried through all three was the same thing: you show up, you take the hit, and you keep moving forward. I learned it in the Navy, I proved it in the ring, and I've run a payments company on it. The discipline never changed — only the arena did.

People meet me now as the guy who runs Bonita Payments or wrote the books. But I got here the long way — bad days, a lot of them, and the refusal to quit on any of them. That's the whole story, and it's the reason any of the rest of it works.

Nothing on this page is theory. Every rule in the books was paid for first — in the ring, on the floor, in rooms where the numbers didn't work and somebody still had to make the call. The four chapters below are how it got built, in order.

Four chapters

How he got here.

Chapter 01

The Service

Where the discipline started. The Navy set the standard: show up, do the work, own the outcome — and the standard doesn't move because you had a bad week. Dates and role to confirm.

Chapter 02

The Ring

Boxing was the operating system for everything after it. Training, weight, discipline, and the habit of taking a hit and still moving forward. Professional record to confirm.

Chapter 03

The Payments

Bonita Payments: not a reseller. A platform we built ourselves — six fintech products shipped under QuarterSuite and running in the real world today.

Chapter 04

The Page

Two books, a framework, and the Business Is War podcast. The Pivot Process and Business Is War put the playbook on paper.

The rule

You show up, you take the hit,
and you keep moving forward.

Learned in the Navy. Proved in the ring. Run a payments company on it. The discipline never changed — only the arena did.
